The Beauty Queen and the School Nerd by Vanessa Rose Lee

Blurb from Goodreads:

Did you ever wonder what would happen if a beauty queen and a school nerd had something in common? No one would have ever guessed that seniors Jessica Richardson and Amanda Shaw could ever have anything in common. The two girls attend the ultra-exclusive Porter Academy in Atlanta. Jessica is a beauty queen with a glamorous life and tons of money, clothes, and make-up. Amanda comes from a lower class home and is the "school nerd" at Porter. Well, we're about to find out what happens when the two girls meet and their secret past is revealed to the world.

My Thoughts:

I thoroughly enjoyed this YA novel. The beginning was a slow start for me but this quickly turned around and held my attention very well. This is a good clean, fun read. There is no language, a big bonus for me, and no inappropriate scenes. I thought Vanessa did a great job and I would recommend it!

Jessica is a popular senior that all the kids look up to and adore. Amanda is considered a nerd and is rejected by the entire school. Those two opposites soon learn that they are more alike than either of them wish.

This story has great values written in that I think are important to everyone of every age.
