Angel At Large (Trilogy Bundle)

Angel At Large ( Trilogy Bundle) By Melissa F.Hart

Three very different angels, but their lives are interwoven together. Cassel, Adrian and Kaine are three best friends and angels. When Cassel falls in love with the mortal woman he’s been sent to guard, they are each given a choice. If they can all three find women to fall in love with, who love them in return then they may all three remain on earth to be with their women. If even one of them fails in this, they all must return and forget about love.

 Book Descriptions

Book 1 ~  Falling for an Angel

Adrian is a messenger angel. He loves nothing better than zipping through the realms, dodging the enemies who try to keep him from doing his duty. He is fast and swift and as dedicated as they come. But he’s a fun loving individual. Even though he likes being an angel, he is lonely and can’t help wondering what it would be like to have someone that belongs to him, and that he belongs to. So when his best friend, the guardian angel Cassel falls in love with his mortal and he finds out that the only hope is for him to also find love, he embraces the challenge in his usual fun loving way. How hard can it be to find a mortal who will love him? He’s good looking, smart and can show her a good time. Unfortunately, he meets and is instantly attracted to Melissa, the only mortal woman in the world who is not impressed either by his good looks, his wit or his charm. To win her heart, he will have to reach deep into himself to discover what she really wants.

Book 2 ~ The Heart Plunderer

Kaine is a warrior angel and his life is as close to perfect as it can get. When he’s not out fighting a battle in the realms, he’s hanging out with his closest friends, Cassel and Adrian. Even though he has no idea what it means to love (that is normally an exclusively human preserve), he knows he would do almost anything for those two. His loyalty is put to the test when Cassel falls in love with his mortal and he learns that he has to find love in order for Cassel to keep his. This is a disaster of monumental proportions. Kaine knows he would do anything to help Cassel, but he has no interest in mortal love. He likes being an angel warrior and isn't interested in falling in love. Until he gets to the apartment assigned to him and runs into Alina that same day.

Book 3 ~ An Angel in my Bed

After several months of hiding her feelings for her best friend, Trina has finally decided to do something about it; she’s going to seduce Cassel. The attraction between them is pure electric, but they’ve been dancing around it and she’s done waiting for him to make the move. Her carefully planned seduction goes off without a hitch and they spend the entire night together. But then, the craziest thing happens; complete strangers just appear in their room and she discovers that Cassel is actually her guardian angel. She’s been sleeping with an angel! Freaked out, she quickly gets rid of Cassel and tries to freeze him out of her life. But Cassel has been in love with Trina for too long, now that he’s been with her, he won’t settle for anything less. He has a chance to be with her but he needs to know how she feels about him.

Brenda's Review

These books are amazing! I loved them.... But then again Melissa F. Hart is quickly moving up the charts of my "Favorite Author" list. I love her style of writing and her imagination is awesome!! She knows how to lure her readers into the story and how to keep them there. The woman's got style! I have now read "TEN" of her books, and love every one of them!!

This trilogy is no exception. I love how the three stories all tie together and there is nothing lost in the story line. Here you have three Hunky Angels that are on a mission. To fall in love with a mortal woman.
And the woman must know that they are Angels.

All three Angels are best friends and all three ladies are friends..... Loved how this worked out!I don't want to give away to much of the story line since this is a "New Release". So I will just say....... GET THEM!! You will not be sorry!!!!

Dangerous by Karen Fuller

Courting the Darkness Saga Continues…Dangerous

Sherry Lambert is a little tired of her mundane “normal” life. Other than being a witch, nothing remotely exciting ever happens to her. That is until she receives a phone call from Desiree. Suddenly she’s sucked into a lifestyle she’s never known full of excitement and danger.

Drake Bouvier is king. He has reigned as king for the last three hundred years. No one tells him no and remains healthy. Handsome, arrogant, and ruthless, he is a vampire accustomed to taking what he wants—he wants Sherry.

From the moment their eyes meet there is an attraction. Sherry’s excited to meet the hot new guy at her friend’s door until she finds out he’s a vampire. She is looking for a little excitement, but this is a little more than she bargained for. Her friend Desiree’s warning to stay away from Drake only fuels her curiosity, drawing her in despite her best intentions.

From the moment he catches her scent he knows her for who she is—his life mate. He isn’t letting anyone stand in his way, especially Desiree.

Danger and excitement comes from every corner: witch hunters, shape shifters, enemy clans, and an old prophecy yet to be fulfilled. Can Sherry resist the temptations of the flesh and promise of excitement to just walk away? Will he even let her? Will they even survive the next couple of days? — Dangerous

Destiny's review:

Dangerous is definitely a catchy read. It has excitement, danger, and of course it has some sex. I was thrilled to have the chance to read this novel.

Sherry is a local witch. She lives a very ordinary life and has no idea how important she really is. When her friend comes back they have much to talk about but what she didn't expect was the sudden attraction to the new guy that walked through the door.

Drake is king of the local vampires. He is handsome and mysterious. Her friend urges her to stay away from him, he's dangerous, but she just can't stop the pull toward him and he doesn't fully give her a chance to walk away.

The only thing I would have like to see would have been more courting between Sherry and Drake. If you are looking for a sexy, fun, and dangerous ride then Dangerous is definitely for you.

Blood Type by Melissa Luznicky Garrett

Blood Type By Melissa Luznicky Garrett

Book Description

Since getting attacked by a vampire, I didn’t believe in beginnings. Only endings. Every person born to this world comes with an expiration date, but I had never considered mine. At least not until I met John.

Now the end was all I ever thought about. I woke up every morning wondering if that day would be my last. Venom pulsed in my veins and seeped into my bones, infecting all my vital organs and changing me from the inside out. Slowly killing me.
But I’d welcome death in the end, if only because the alternative was even more frightening.

Popular girl Blake Ehlert has it all: a prime spot on the cheerleading squad, a jock boyfriend who’s strong and sensitive, and the winning vote for Homecoming Queen two years in a row. But when she strikes up a conversation with loner John Kelly, her entire world starts to crumble.

John Kelly is a vampire—what’s known to his kind as a Compeller. It’s his job to recruit human Donors with a particular blood type.

And Blake is his next target.

Brenda's Review

I fell in love with the characters in this story. I found myself rooting for them and hoping they find a way to save Blake and for John to turn her into a vamp himself. So many emotions in this book it's just hard to explain. Can't wait till the next one!!

Healing Summer by Elizabeth Seckman

Ditched at the altar…biopsied for cancer…Mollie Hinkle is having a bona fide bitch of a summer. When life sucks so hard it takes your breath away, what's a girl to do? Road trip! Pack a bag, grab a few friends, and leave the past and the worry in the rear view mirror. What wounds can’t be healed by a drive across the Heartland, where quarter flips at cross roads determine the route and the future? All roads lead to Craig, the second son and bad boy of the haughty Coulter line. Craig has spent his life taking care of number one—himself. He’s not interested in a relationship and he’s definitely not looking to fall in love. But if a morsel drops in his lap, who is he to refrain? Mollie’s not looking for love either, but truth be told, she’s not opposed to it. Heck, if fate brought her to the miniscule Montana town to find happily ever after, she won’t fight it.Perhaps it is a summer where love, not time, heals all her wounds.
Author Bio:
Elizabeth Seckman was born August 5, 1969 in Barberton, Ohio. Her parents moved her to West Virginia when she was ten days old, prompting her relatives to call the new bundle of joy "Grit"...because it was a shame to turn a Buckeye into a Grit. She survived the nickname, understanding that what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger. ;)

Elizabeth attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV where she studied counseling and worked for many years as a social worker. She married her college sweetheart, Chad, and has four sons: Caleb, Cole, Carter, and Conner. Her guys (hubby included) are worse than puppies making messes and always asking to be fed, but since they are adorable, she keeps them all.

Currently, she spends her time daydreaming (she calls this writing) and excavating piles of dirty laundry. Oh, and she goes to football games...lots and lots of football games.

So, living in a house of men...doing man things all the time...What girl wouldn't want to escape in a fantasy world of romance, true love, and clean houses?!

Tich's Review:

I really do love Elizabeth Seckman's writing! She has replaced Stephanie Meyer's place as one of my absolute favorite authors...and yes that means Elizabeth is in my top 5 favs. Her writing is smooth, it's the kind that keeps you up late just to see what will happen next and will also wake in the middle of the night just to see where it all ends. The characters in Healing Summer, Craig to be specific, woke me up a 3am to finish reading even though I had read until midnight.

If you haven't read Past Due I would start there, Healing Summer is the second book. Though it is featuring different characters, these tie in and take place after Past Due. And I have to say I could not stand Craig in Past Due, I thought he was a total dipstick but reading Healing Summer I found myself loving the guy.

Mollie decides to take a road trip after her summer goes to hell in a hand basket, she may have cancer and her Fiancé dumps her at the alter. She ends up at a party she'd rather not be at and finds herself chatting with a charming guy.

Craig is not looking for a relationship at all, a roll in hay sure but absolutely nothing more. Mollie is interesting and he finds that her company is soothing to his spirit. Neither one of them want to complicate matters by a relationship, Craig just isn't looking for that in his life and Mollie knows that she will be heading home soon.

Chance brings her nose to well-formed chest with Tres Coulter, the handsome, affluent aid to Governor Hunt. Jenna and Tres share a history; they also share a love they thought long lost. Their lives are about to be altered forever as the deceptions of the past transform the very foundation of the present.

The price of happily ever after may be too steep to pay once the past comes due.

Tich's Review:

I want to say that I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I found a new author to add to my FAVORITE AUTHOR list! Past Due was a well thought out and planned story. From the first paragraph the characters, especially Jenna, reach out their hands to the readers, pulling them into their world. I love books and characters that have been written in a realistic setting. Don't get me wrong I love my paranormal book and characters with supernatural abilites, but there is something refreshing about being able to relate to the characters that you hold in your hand. I was impressed by Elizabeth Seckman's writting, it was smooth and never failed to hold my attention.

Jenna is a widow and doing her best to raise her teenage son. As a single mother, she finds that providing for her child is a tough job that often leaves her sleep deprived. Money is tight and when her car breaks down she looks for ways to take care of this financial burden without asking her friends for handouts. While meeting with her next client, she finds herself working closely with an old friend...not just any friend, but the one person she never wanted to have to face again.

When Tres comes into town to take care of business he runs into the one woman that he thought he may never see agian, Jenna. Tres and Jenna once shared something wonderful, they had been in love, but lies and deception tore them apart and they have both lived with this heartache for far too long.

I highly recommend Past Due by Elizabeth Seckman, though I suggest keeping a box of tissues close by.

When Elkliss Keep is rampaged by her sinister Uncle Simeon, Lysandra lost everything she had ever known or loved within a heartbeat. He soon he realizes that Lysandra could be the one true mate that would make his cursed life easier to live.

About the author:

Elissa Daye graduated from Illinois State University in December 1999 with a bachelor in Elementary Education. After seven years of teaching, Elissa decided to follow her childhood dreams of becoming a published writer. In Flames Book 1 in the Destined Series was published by World Castle Publishing on July 15, 2012 and was soon followed by the sequel, In Rapture: Destined Series(Book 2), with a release date of December 1, 2012.

Destiny's Thoughts:

I received a copy of this book from the author for a review. At first I was a little unsure, the two chapters were a little hard for me to get into...but as the story began unfolding I couldn't stop reading. I found myself carrying my e-reader to the kitchen with me so I could read and cook at the same time. I love how Lysandra's magic is tied to her heart, her love and emotions.

When Lysandra's family is murdered she is sold as a slave. Fear grips her when she discovers her new master's plans for her future. He sells her to the highest bidder because she has remained untouched. Now she is in a whole new environment with one stranger in particular that looks upon her with disgust.

Adian, her new master, has a secret and it has something to do with the cylce of the moon.

If you are looking for a good read that deals with magic and werewolves, look no further. I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Acadian Waltz by Alexandrea Weis Review & Giveaway

At thirty, Nora Kehoe is feeling pressured to settle down. On a blind date, Nora unexpectedly ends up in the emergency room where she meets Dr. John Blessing. She hopes the pragmatic Dr. Blessing can make her life complete. Then, a passionate encounter with a childhood friend changes everything. The charismatic Jean Marc Gaspard manages the family business, Gaspard Fisheries. But rumors abound that Jean Marc is running more than seafood through the waters around Manchac Louisiana. When a family crisis sends Nora to Manchac, she is thrown headlong into the dangerous world of smugglers and swindlers. And as Jean Marc tries to protect Nora from his past, he realizes he may lose her because of it. The dark bayou waters run deep with secrets in Louisiana, and every Cajun knows how to dance the fine line between the right and wrong side of the law. But for strangers, learning the steps to staying alive in the swamps can be tricky. Life, and love, will be dependent on how well one can master the … Acadian Waltz.

Tich's Review:

I received a copy of Acadian Waltz for review by the author. From the moment I read the first chapter I was hooked. The story was amazing, the characters were beautifully portrayed. What I love about Alexandrea Weis is that she writes her characters realistically, simply meaning that they are characters that the average person can relate to. They suffer from the same struggles emotionally and physically that we do.

Nora is feeling the pressures of settling down and marrying thanks to her mother. She ends up going on a dating spree in hopes of finding the right man to build a life with. While on one of these crazy blind dates she ends up at the hospital where she meets Dr. Blessing. Immediately Dr. Blessing and Nora connect, he asks her out and she accepts. Things are moving right along in their relationship until her old family friend Jean Marc and his family need her assistance. It's there with Jean Marc and his family that Nora remembers the art of the Acadian Waltz.

This book is by far one of my favorites. I am looking forward to reading it again very soon. If you are looking for something to read that does not have all of the paranormal creatures of the night, just something fun and romantic then this is the book for you! Acadian Waltz has NO creatures of the night to rescue the damsel, there are NO super powers, there is only ordianary people struggling with life and love.

Marcy Rachel's Colorful Indie Blog Tour Day 4

Tour dates and links are at the bottom of the post!

Marcy Rachel talks Book Trailers

Hi everyone!  I am so happy to be writing this guest post for Tich Brewster’s blog!  I want to thank her for being part of my blog tour and for giving me the opportunity to share some of my tips with you all.

In this opportunity we are going to talk about something that I think is important for an author as much as a cover is: book trailers.  Now, keep in mind that I am self-taught and all I am going to do is share some tips to create a good book trailer, to the best of my abilities and knowledge.

First of all, it’s best to start thinking about creating a book trailer after your book is finished (even if it still needs some editing).  The story should be all laid out so you know what you want to show about it.  Just like a movie trailer that we see on TV, you want to capture the reader's attention and make them want to read your book.  Even though book covers can be acted out, animations, etc., I am going to concentrate on a pictures and text book trailer because I think it’s the one that most authors will be able to make on their own (and that they can afford).

Write a Script

It’s easier to put together a book trailer if you have a script, even if your book trailer will consist of only pictures and text.  You could use your book blurb as your script.  Simply write your text, divide it in smaller sections and write what kind of picture can illustrate what the text says, keeping in mind the mood of the story as well.

Selecting Pictures

Now, the next step is to look up pictures for your book trailer.  Make sure that the pictures that you are using can be used for commercial purposes.  You are not selling the pictures, but you are promoting your book, which will generate you sells. Select pictures that are in high quality, you want your pictures to show sharp and clear, not blurry.  Save all the pictures to your computer and put them all on the same folder for easier access.  Even if your script asks for 5 pictures, save as many as you want that you think can go with your book’s story.  Sometimes a picture will not work the way you want, then you can try another one.

Selecting a Music Track

Just as with the pictures, you have to make sure the music you’re going to use for your book trailer is good for commercial use.  Avoid using songs ripped off of CDs or YouTube (from artists) unless you have written consent from the owners of the track that you can use it.  If you are not sure if you can use a track (same goes with pictures) don’t use it.  Better safe than sorry.  If you absolutely love it, try finding out who owns it and ask if it can be used.  The worst that can happen is that they say no, and you have nothing to lose by just asking.  The only downside of this is that you probably have to wait a couple of days for a response (unless you can call them by phone).

Select a soundtrack that suits the mood of your book.  If your story is romantic and sweet, don’t pick a soundtrack that is dark and too dramatic.

Putting Everything Together

To start putting your book trailer together, you need a video editor program. Now, most computers come already with a video editor.  The most recent is Windows Live Movie Maker and if your computer does not have it, you can find it online and download it for free (legally).  There are other paid softwares like Sony Vegas, but most are more complicated.  I think WMM (Windows Movie Maker) is the most simple.

Start playing with the software, adding your text (following the script that you laid out first), adding your pictures, etc.  Check out all the features and effects that you can add to your video.

Don’t make your video more than, I’d say 1:30 minutes, unless you have a kick-ass trailer with acting, effects, etc.  If your video is too long, people will get bored and won’t watch it all.  Most internet users spend less than one minute on the average website.  Therefore, you have to make sure that you really capture their attention and leave them wanting more after they watch your video.

That being said, make sure that your pictures that go into your video are not on screen for more than 5 seconds.  When a video has 5 pictures that are on screen for 10 seconds each it’s a very boring video (same with acted scenes or clips).  The video has to be dynamic and ever changing so you can show something new to the viewer, but don’t make it too crowded either or it will be simply too much and will make no sense.

Finally, you can add a credits section at the end of your video if you want to credit the pictures and music you used.

Final Tips

Take the time to make your video.  Don’t expect to finish it in one hour, especially if you have never done it before.  You need time to look for the perfect images, the perfect music, to write your script, to learn how to use the software, etc.  Look up video tutorials on YouTube or other sources.  Practice as you go. Try everything you can think of. You never know what will look amazing on your video. Make it interesting, remember that you’re selling your book through your book trailer!

Now I want to share with you the book trailer I made for Tich Brewster and her book “Devada”.

I hope you have enjoyed my guest post and have learned something!

The Graphic Designer

In 2011, for NaNoWriMo, Marcy Rachel didn't finish what she was writing. Instead, she decided to make MOCK covers for other authors that were writing to inspire them to finish. After that, people loved what she was doing and they told her that she should sell her covers. Marcy took up on their word and now has her page Marcy Rachel Designs. Every November is a reminder of why she started doing this -- indie authors. Marcy keeps her prices very low by keeping Indies in mind. Not only does she make book covers, but also design other things.

“Since my teenage years, I always liked to look at paintings and sculptures. I loved visiting museums. When I went to college, I enrolled as Chemistry major due to lack of knowledge about degrees and programs offered. I failed Chemistry and moved to Business Administration, where I finished my degree as an Administrative Assistant. While in college, I found out that I could’ve pursue a degree in arts but it was already too late. When I was doing my internship, I discovered a TV show that I loved. I met other fans and learned about fan fiction and graphic design. This was my first encounter with graphic design and video editing and I loved it. I started doing it and taught myself some Photoshop and Movie Maker and I’ve been doing it ever since. Supporting the amazing indie community, whether it be a book cover design, a banner, a logo or even a bookmark is my constant ambition. They are the reason that I now I have my “indie business”, Marcy Rachel Designs.

So this is me, Marcy Rachel, providing just a little insight into how I was inspired and why I design.”
Marcy Rachel Designs obtains most of her resources from stock photo web sites.  She first looks on websites that have been researched and that have images that are completely free.  Unfortunately, most of these websites do not offer good quality pictures worthy of being in a book cover or any design.  This is when she turns to paid images, though royalty free, trying always to find a website where the cost of the graphics is low compared to others.  The cost of these images depends on which, and how many images she ultimately uses in the creation of your cover and/or design.  The cost of the images is paid by the client and it's not included in the labor of creating the cover.  You will always have the option of choosing a less expensive (or more expensive) image. Marcy must have your approval on all the images before finalizing the cover.
E-Book covers start at $50! For a full list of services and prices, please visit her website!
Most cover designers only allow a few revisions.  Marcy Rachel Designs has been allowing unlimited revisions, but this takes a lot of time and it's not fair to other people she am working with simultaneously; it slows down her turn-around time for everyone.  SO, now she is offering 10 free revisions.  Additional revisions will incur in a $5.00 fee per revision.
She will be sending you drafts of the cover as you guys go along and make changes; feel free to suggest any changes you think might make the design better and she will try them!!
Most authors send a synopsis of their book and/or the first two chapters so that Marcy can get an idea of the concept to portray.  Sometimes an author will send her the whole book and allow her to scan it for exciting scenes to get her imagination going. That’s totally up to you! Some pitch in some ideas they already have so she can work with those as well.
*A note about content: Marcy does not read pornographic material in preparation for designing a cover.  (Romance novels are ok, even if it has sex scenes, but not actual pornography.) She can use images that depict artistic nudity, but none that portray hate or cruelty towards animals or people.
Marcy Rachel works as quickly as possible, often working nights and weekends to complete a commission.  If you have a deadline coming up and need a cover as soon as possible, let Marcy help you out!
Marcy Rachel Designs will supply you with two cover files for the web; one for Amazon Kindle's with the new size requirement (2500px on the long side) and a smaller size to use as thumbnail.  If you need a custom size, please let her know before work begins. She will include this file size on your package at NO cost.  When the design is final, Marcy Rachel Designs owns the rights of the final design and will use it to promote her work.  If you want full ownership of the rights, it will require an additional fee.
